Jean Adélard Pouliot, O.C., B.A., B.A.Sc., P.Eng. (1923-2004) was born in Quebec City from Adrien Pouliot and Laure Clark. Among other accomplishments, he co-founded the TVA network and was the founder of the Quatre Saisons Television Network (TQS), Quebec’s second private French-language television network. In 1988, Mr. Pouliot was chosen as recipient of the Communications Prize for 1987 (Government of Québec) in the “entrepreneuriat in communications” category. In 1990, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada and was inducted into the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Broadcast Hall of Fame in 1992.
