The MEI now accepts Bitcoin donations

Montreal, January 25, 2018 – The Montreal Economic Institute has begun accepting Bitcoin donations.

The technology that supports Bitcoin is an eloquent demonstration of the power of innovation and entrepreneurship. Indeed, blockchain technology has the potential to set off a veritable economic revolution in many sectors, quite independently of what the future holds for the monetary transfer and verification system.

In general, the Bitcoin community is based on decentralization, autonomy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, principles and fundamental themes that are central to the mission of the MEI.

Moreover, all donations to the MEI, whether in bitcoins or through another more traditional payment method, are tax deductible.

“Bitcoin holders and developers more often than not share the values that motivate our work on a daily basis,” says Michel Kelly-Gagnon, President and CEO of the MEI. “If you want to support an organization that puts wealth creation, respect for property rights, and entrepreneurship at the heart of its mission, make a tangible gesture by donating bitcoins to the MEI.”

To support the Institute, simply visit the homepage of our organization’s website at www.iedm.org and click on the Bitcoin logo in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
