Why does freedom matter for prosperity and human flourishing?
Over the past half century classical liberal ideas such as limited government, constitutional democracy, free trade, private property rights, and the rule of law have led to unprecedented levels of human flourishing. But in recent years these ideas have come under attack, as many in the West embrace ideas that limit economic growth, strangle freedom of speech, and stifle innovation.
On Friday, February 7, at 6:30 PM, join speaker Michel Kelly-Gagnon, Founding President of the MEI, as we discuss: “Why does freedom matter for prosperity and human flourishing?”
The moderator will be Myles McDougall, UCP MLA for Calgary Fish Creek. Before politics Myles worked as an economist, corporate executive and technology entrepreneur, in a career that took him around the world.
Tickets for this private event are $25, and there will be a cash bar. There is ample free parking available. A Q&A period will follow the presentation.
