Mer Yang

Mer Yang has worked in constituency affairs for a Member of Parliament, and as Events Coordinator and Vice Chair for Equal Voice Calgary, a non-profit organization that raises awareness about the need for more women in leadership positions and to encourage women to run for political office. She also does part-time modeling.

Mer has a passion for relationship building and strategic event management and has supported initiatives that bring together people from across business, government, and the nonprofit sector. From sponsorship outreach to speaker coordination, communications, volunteer management, and event execution, she thrives in environments where attention to detail and strong relationships are essential.

Mer joined the MEI team in September 2026. She focuses on events management, fundraising support, and relationship-building to help the Institute grow and fulfill its mission.
