Arthur Rizer

Arthur Rizer is the founder of the ARrow Center for Justice Reform. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at University College London in the Department of Security and Crime Science and adjunct professor of law at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from PLU, a master of laws, with distinction, from Georgetown University’s Law Center, and a JD, magna cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law.

Arthur was formerly the director of national security, criminal justice, and civil liberties at the R Street Institute. He previously served as associate professor of law at West Virginia University’s College of Law and visiting professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center. He was also a trial attorney with the U.S. Justice Department, primarily as a federal prosecutor in the Criminal Division. He has also served in the U.S. Army, and as a civilian police officer in Cheney, Washington.
