Florence Plourde

Florence helps to position the MEI in the public sphere by drawing upon her numerous years of experience. She participates in the development of communications strategies, the production of content, the writing of opinion pieces, and the dissemination of the Institute’s messages among the media and the general public.
With extensive communications experience, she has worked at the highest level of government in Quebec, where she advised decision-makers on media issues, political positioning, and news management. Her background allows her to combine rigour, political acumen, and effective communication skills.
Interested in ideas, the public debate, and everything related to the news, Florence is particularly fascinated by the way public policies are understood, or misunderstood, by the population. In her free time, she likes to cook and is a big fan of tea.
