Carl Vallée

Carl Vallée is Managing Director at Teneo. He acquired his skills and experience in media relations, crisis management, speech writing, and strategic planning while advising heads of government and senior leadership of high-profile companies in Canada.
Carl served as Press Secretary and Spokesperson to former Prime Minister Stephen Harper for five years. In the Prime Minister’s Office, he managed national and international issues, with particular attention to Quebec. Carl worked alongside key policymakers across the country and developed a deep understanding of the federal government’s decision-making process. More recently, in 2018, he participated in Québec Premier François Legault’s transition team as a senior advisor.
Prior to joining Teneo, Carl was the partner in charge of strategic communications at HATLEY Strategy Advisors, which was acquired by Teneo in 2020. From 2016 to 2018, he led the Québec office of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation and acted as its first-ever spokesperson in the province. Carl obtained his Bachelor of Laws at the Université de Montréal in 2009.
