André Valiquette
Director of Communications
André Valiquette joined the Montreal Economic Institute in January 2007. He was a press relations adviser for Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) from 1988 to 2006. Previously, he worked as a journalist for public affairs programs on CBC’s French radio network. André Valiquette, Accredited in Public Relations (APR), was a member of the board of directors of the Société québécoise des professionnels en relations publiques from 2006 to 2007 and, beginnning in 2008, of its Public Affairs and Communications Committee. He also was president of UQAM’s social science alumni association for five years. Mr. Valiquette holds a public relations diploma from HEC Montréal’s Professional Development Centre and both a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in history from UQAM.
