Mary O’Grady is editor of “The Americas,” a weekly column in The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). Appearing on the WSJ’s op-ed page every Friday, the column discusses political, economic, business and financial events and trends in the Americas. Ms. O’Grady is also a senior editorial-page writer for the WSJ, writing on Latin America and Canada and on trade and international economics. She joined the paper in August 1995 and was named a senior editorial-page writer in December 1999.
