Opinion Poll on Canadians’ Perceptions of Fossil Fuels

In this poll carried out by Léger Marketing on behalf of the MEI, it appears that Canadians and Quebecers alike are pragmatic when it comes to the exploitation of Canada’s oil resources. Despite the warnings of environmental groups, 73% of people would rather consume Canadian oil. In fact, around half of the population thinks such groups are too radical in their positions. As for Alberta’s oil sands, Canadians still support their development by an overwhelming majority (80%).
