I enjoyed Licia Corbella’s “fairy godmother” piece and will have it translated into French. We will put it on the bilingual public policy website of the think-tank I work for (www.iedm.org).

Albertans should know that the views expressed by Premier Jean Charest during the Copenhagen summit do not represent all Quebecers’ views. Some of us understand the contribution of Alberta’s energy sector to the socio-economic wellbeing of all Canadians.

Quebec gets quite a bit of money through equalization payments because of Alberta’s contribution as well as important business opportunities. I hope we can engage in a more constructive Quebec-Alberta dialogue and I intend to devote some time and energy toward this objective.
